The short version

YourBachParty.com is reader-supported. When you click a link on our site and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That's how we keep the lights on and keep publishing free planning guides.

What this means in practice

Some of the links on this website are what the Federal Trade Commission calls "affiliate links." In plain English: if you click one of those links and book a hotel, rent a villa, order a party shirt, or buy any other product we've recommended, the company you buy from pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid if you'd gone directly to that company's site.

We participate in a number of affiliate programs, including but not limited to:

  • Amazon Associates — product recommendations on Amazon.com
  • Hotels.com, Booking.com, and Expedia partner programs — hotel bookings
  • Vrbo and Airbnb partner programs — vacation rental bookings
  • Tours4Fun, Viator, and GetYourGuide — tours, experiences, and activities
  • Various CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, Impact, and Awin advertisers
  • Direct partnerships with local operators at destinations we cover (Las Vegas, Nashville, Jaco, Cabo, and others)

We also accept paid advertising, which is clearly marked with a "Sponsored Advertisement" label wherever it appears on the site.

Our editorial promise

Affiliate revenue does not decide what we recommend. We've been writing bachelor and bachelorette party content since 2014, and our reputation depends on sending you to places we'd actually send our friends. Here's how we keep it honest:

  • We recommend what we'd choose ourselves. When multiple options exist, we pick the one we think is best — not the one that pays us the most.
  • We call out things we don't like. If a popular spot has a reputation for drink scams or sketchy transportation, we say so, even if we earn a commission from it.
  • We don't write paid reviews disguised as editorial content. If a piece of content is sponsored, we say so at the top.
  • We update our guides. If a restaurant closes, a tour operator raises prices, or a destination's safety situation changes, we revise the article.

How to tell which links are affiliate links

In most cases you'll see a small "affiliate link" pill next to recommendations that pay us a commission, or the link will be clearly within a "Book" or "Find" call-to-action. Affiliate banners throughout the site are labeled "Sponsored Advertisement." Our sidebar lists of hotel, rental, and activity partners are all affiliate programs.

If you'd rather not use our affiliate links — no hard feelings. You can always type the business's name directly into Google. We'd still love to have you as a reader.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. We disclose our material connections openly because it's the right thing to do, and because we think trust matters more than any single click.

Questions?

If you have questions about any specific recommendation, affiliate relationship, or just want to tell us about an experience you had with a partner we recommended, please get in touch. We're easier to reach than you'd expect.

Thanks for reading, and happy planning.
